Ok I am a Noob myself but I think my style is much worth a try.

1: Ok open up a new Canvas.395-140
2: Make the bg black(dosnt really matter tho)- brush over your canvas .I used Nazset brush set
3: ok make a new layer(Transparent) and past your render all over your canvas. Then go to Filters-Noise-Pick-100-100
4: Duplicate that layer. The layer you just duplicated(should be on top) go to Filters-Blur-Motion Blur-Length 10-angle 310
5:Ok Now make a new layer again(transparent again) and past your render were every you like, then dup that layer. So on your first render layer. go to Layer-transparency- Alpha selection- then go to select-Feather(I did 50) then on the same drop bar there should be -Invert- click on it, then edit-cut. Do the same with your top render layer(Except Feather it higher than your other render layer.)
6: Ok I will be going Top to Bottom how to set your layers

1-Overlay
2-Normal
3-Screen
4-Overlay
5-Normal

Beginners could use it, this style is too rough looking or grainy for my tastes.
