How to make your photos look like cartoons

1. Open the pic you want

2. Go to Layers >> Duplicate Layer

3. Select the duplicate

4. Go to Filters >> Blurs >> Gaussian Blur, set it to 10 on each

5. select the top layer and change it to Darken Only and adjust the opacity to your liking, you should get something like this

I tried and found 100% results.

This is indeed a perfect and useful technique. thanks for sharing

On your layers tab select your layer then above it there is the mode and the opacity... if you havnt got your layers tab window thing go...
file>dialogues>create new dock>layers,channels,paths
