WOW! nice tut, ill post my work later. On my other PC i got gimp but not GAP (its version 2.2.6). I cant find GAP for linux on the downloads section of gimptalk. Could someone help me?

Are you certain that you called up the "Video->Move path..." command from the BACKGROUND image and not the ANIMATION items image?

Make sure the you're using the Video menu in the image that has the xxxxxxx_000001.xcf name. It looks like you're trying to opening the Move Path function within the image window that does not have this name.

Um, when ever I try to attempt the Move Path command, it won't recognize the moving image I have open (It's supposed to be an empty transparent frame rolling over the longer base image). Is it because it's shorter than the base image, or is it because it's just pure transparency? Anyway, can anyone help with this?

Make sure you have the "Instantly Apply" button checked? Also make sure the color mode is RGB.

But, if the item you are trying to animate is pure transparency then of coarse you wont see it unless theres some thing on it.

hello there i'm new to the boards and i'm becoming very skilled at gimp now. anyway when i try step 11 gimp crashes and so does GAP. i click on "OK" and i hear disk activity but then after a while it just crashes. ohh and i'm using 2.2.10 if that matters

Are you trying to go full screen with the GAP window? If not try re~installing GAP...
