Hi all, I made this tut for you the people, and also a little for my own benefit. I hope you enjoy.

Here's the stock I used
However you can use your own if you like ;D

Step ONE

Ok, be a good little boy and open up a new canvas, I chose 400x125
however if you'd like to use another size feel free.

Now, Get a good grunge brush (everybody has grunge brushes)
(just download one if you don't have some)
And go crazy, here's what I got:

step TWO

Tee-hee, you've got a nice backround. BUT WHAT NEXT? D:
Add your render of course. Make a new layer, cunningly called "Render" And put your pic on top.
It should look something to this effect.

As you can see I didn't spend a whole lot of time on the cutting, but that dosen't matter, let's move on to the cool part.
The blending:

OK, select the "creat and edit paths" tool. And go roughly around the inside of your render (not precise, must be sorta messy!) And select as though you were about to render it.
Now press ctrl+I to invert the selection, and then ctrl + K to delete it.
Right click and Select > Feather to about...let's say 25-30 and OK it. Now hit Ctrl+K a few times, until you get a nice effect happening.

It should now look something like this:

Dosn't look very good huh? Change the layer mode to "Value"
=O Look at that. Neat huh?

step THREE
Duplicate the layer and turn it off for the moment. On the bottom one, simply merg down.
Now go "Layer>colors>colorize" And screw around until you get what you want.
Here's mine:

But it still looks un-complete yes?
But how do we fix it? Go to "Filters>Light Effects>FlareFX and adjust until you get it into a nice spot, observe:

Now add some text and a boarder, and there you go, a simple sig =o

step FOUR
Add some finishing toutches and you have this:

But feel free to experiment and such.

Thanks guys.

The blending step isn't too hard once you know how. you just gotta trace around the inside of the render (so some of the outline is gone) Then path to selection. Then feather, and ctrl + K.
