Lol I don't have as many script fu's as you do, I also don't have the layer section. Guess I'll just have to download the newest one. :p I did play with script fu, the little bit of it I have, effects wern't too bad:

:c: Gah, as ignoramous as this sounds, I've tried to install the layer affects and even the unstable versions (they wouldn't let me do 2.3.4 so I had to do 2.3.7) and the layer effects still don't show up. I've installed the layer effects script right, (well at least I think I did) and nothing seems to be working, what am I doing wrong?

so you've installed the script-fu script? i don't have 2.3.7, so i can only guess that that is where your problem is. that's the only problem I can think of; some instability in 2.3.7 that won't allow the layer effects to show up.

you might redownload 2.2.10 if you can, and install the script-fu script in that.

I tried, but I didn't un-install the 2.3.7 first so mabey that's my problem, I'll tinker around with it a little and get back to you on that. Thanks!

I have 2.3.7 and most of the script-fu has been moved into the filters menu.

Really? And I re-gressed back to 2.2.10 and the layer effects still doesn't work? Mabey there's some more support stuff that I don't have?

Yeah it's working sorta, for me the script is making the new shadow layers on the upper left corner of my image, is it supposed to do this?

I had GIMP 2.2.10 and it didn't have layer-effects...

I tried downloading from each of the links I found in this thread and non of them worked.

It's becomming quite frustrating lol...

hey...i tried to install the gtk thing with the link u gave...i extracted the folder and all but when i tried to run it, it says that the program can't be installed becos i have a "Newer version of GTK+ 2 runtimes is already installed."...i checked my whole computer using the search program and it said that there were no results for it!
now what do i do???????????
