In this tut, we will be learning to make a sig like this:

1. First off, create a new image (any size is fine) and fill it with a dark color from your render.

2. Next, make a new layer and take out your sparks brush. Cover up the new layer, then desaturate it by going to Layer>Colors>Desaturate.
'
3. Make a new layer. Scale and paste your render. Duplicate your render layer twice and move the two duplicated layers around like so. Then merge the 3 render layers down into one.

4. Duplicate the render layer and flip it horizontally. Then take out a splatter brush. (Any is fine, I used Prowler's Grunge). Erase most of the layer on a low opacity and set it to lighten only. Then take out a soft grunge brush and erase over the focal point.

5. Now make a new layer. Copy visible and then paste. Take out a good smudging brush (preferably a chalk brush) and smudge the layer around. Set it to lighten only and erase parts that cover the focal point.

6. Make a new layer. With a grunge brush, brush the sides with a dark blue color. Set this layer to softlight.

7. Make a new layer. Edit>copy visible>paste. Go to Filters>Distorts>Ripple. Leave it on default settings. Flip the layer horizontally and set it to lighten only. Erase over the focal point.

8. Make a new layer and copy visible then paste. Go to Filters>Distorts>Waves and leave the default. Then go to Filters>Map>Displace. Choose the sparks layer for both. Erase around the focal point.

9. Make a new layer and copy visible then paste once again. Smudge the sides and leave the layer on normal at 40% opacity.

10. Repeat step 9, but set the layer mode to lighten.

11. Make a new layer and Copy visible>paste yet again. Go to Filters>Distorts>Ripple, and leave the defaults. Then smudge the layer. Then go to Filters>Map>Displace and choose the sparks layer for both x and y. Erase over the focal point and set this layer to lighten only.

12. Once again, make a new layer and Copy visible>paste. Change your foreground and background colors to a dark organge and violet. Go to Filters>Colors>Map>Gradient Map. Set this layer on soft light.

13. Now we'll start on our lighting. Make a new layer and take out a soft grunge brush. Brush around in white where you want the lighting to be. Leave this layer on normal at about 35% opacity.

14. New layer, Copy visible, Paste. Go to Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur. Change both Horizontal and Vertical to 3. Erase over the focal point and set this layer to lighten only at 55% opacity.

15. I then repeated Step 13, but used an orange color instead. Set this layer to dodge.

16. Repeat step 15 but brush in white. Set this layer to soft light.

17. Now make a new layer, Copy visible, then paste. Change your foreground color to peach and your background color to a light purple. Go to Filters>Color>Map>Gradient Map. Set this layer to soft light on 50% opacity.

18. Add text and a border, and you are done!
