I made it so that noobs to gimp can learn really. I don't even do pixel stretch except on requests if I'm told to do so

its good. although I think there is too much difference between the third step and the last step.

Nice simple tutorial. Could be improved by naming the actions taken, not just saying 'R' 'Ctrl+C' etc..
As well as making it easier to understand what is happening, it also allows users with different key bindings to readily use your tutorial. For example, Rectangle tool is accessed with the 'My Computer' key on my system; Copy accessed by PageUp, Paste accessed by Insert, and Scale accessed by Shift+(keypad 6), with Ctrl+C activating the Convolve tool.

giving some burn in areas gives good quality aswell... Ive seen this tutorial in alot of places. I'ts definitely a nice technique
