I love this place!!!!

I am a semi-newb to GIMP. I never seriously tried to create anything but seeing all the awesome yet simply explained tutorials makes me think that I can do it.

I'll be doing this one and posting my result soon. :D

AWesome tutorial. Just the brushes alone are awesome too!
pixkid@macmini~$ open -a Gimp.app
bash: you want fries with that
pixkid@macmini~$ echo No thank you, I am on a diet.
bash: you make me feel unloved with your excuses
pixkid@macmini~$ echo What? Are you insinuating that I do not eat your food? When did shells ever execute commands relevant to cooking?
bash: shells duh ever think of seafood
pixkid@macmini~$ echo No fair, stop searching puns, you have Lynx and Google to use!
bash: ugh you humans are so annoying
bash: logout

I could really use some help croping directly around an image, instead of having the square box around it, when I import the image onto a Publisher file. I just want the image - all by itself, so I can superimpose it on something else. Possible?

Please message me personally
