Maybe did the file get corrupted some how? It looks as if it isn't all there... Try again maybe. I really have no idea.

make sure you save it as a giff and select the option of animation instead of combining layers. sorry i havn't got GIMP open at the moment and can't remember exactly what options it offer but from memory it is the 2nd one down that you require
