My result. This was actually my first photomanip, ever :O. I really love this tut, great job :).
If one pleads not guilty to involuntary manslaughter, are they, by extension, pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter?

This was a great tutorial, mate! Thanks a million. You've given me some inspiration for things to do with all the hundreds of photos I take when we go out camping in the summer.

Beautiful, quick and easy. Only I think you sort of left a step out, although it's implied. Doesn't that mean you have to copy visible and paste in a new layer, then run a gradient map (colors>map>gradient map), making sure that your gradient is set to FG to BG?
I did two outcomes with the same stock (using slightly different cuts):
