I know this is an old tut but I just wanted to post my results because I liked it so much thanks for the tut it was easy to follow.

I find the last step useless, with the bluring of the invertedred stuff, kinda ruins my sig.

thanks, everyone! those are some cool results; I like seeing the different outcomes. :h: yeah, this tutorial is old, but I'm glad people still find it useful!
having improved in techniques and stuff, I probably wouldn't have added those steps now, but at the time I thought it was worth doing, so yeah... :w: but this isn't really an advanced tutorial or anything, so it's a good way for beginner/intermediate artists to play around with teh different things you can do in GIMP.
