For version 1 PS brushes (which are older brushes PS vs. 5(?)), you can use the abr2gbr tool that's listed in the Resources section.
For the newer versions, such as those that I'm converting, you'll either need to download PS trial version or get someone that has it to open up the brushes, create a stamp (an image of each brush), save the stamp as a jpg or png and open up in GIMP. You can then, select and save each PS brush as a GIMP brush. Make sure you convert it to grayscale and flatten it prior to saving.

If you would like to fix the problem yourself
Open up the .gbr file in Gimp
win users
C:\\program files\\GIMP-2.0\\share\\gimp\\2.0\\brushes
Look for file Keep_Dreaming_Ultimate_Edition - 74.gbr
open it in gimp and switch the mode to greysacale Image>mode>greyscale
resave click yes on over write and wahla it should work. You'll also need to refresh you brush dir.
Once again sorry for the error!
