This may sound like a tedious task but you could put these all in their own folder and put them in a .zip or .rar format o.O i thought of the folder idea so we can extract which ever ones we want, but you can also do a .zip file for each author? xP

just a thought

I'm not following you on the request. But to be honest, if your idea is gonna make more work for me, the answer is gonna have to be no, with emphasis on the N and O! My time is becoming even more limited. So any extra effort on my part, is gonna have to be ruled out.

Just added several more sets of Leiyla's brushes. Enjoy!

Added 4 sets by new author Ownz. These are Bryce 3D Render sets and look fabulous! I had to split up 2 of the larger sets to keep the file sizes small. Enjoy!

EDIT: Also added my first set of original brushes! 8 "vector-style" brushes. Comments & Criticisms are welcome.

Best brush source ever. How do you convert them?

Old PS/PSP brushes can be converted using the abr2gbr tool that can be downloaded from this site. (Just do a quick Google search and you'll find it). However, all of these brushes were converted by creating "stamps" of each brush in PS and then saving them as an image. The image was then opened in GIMP and, using the "selection to brush" script developed by KWARD (which can also be found/downloaded on this board), a selection was made around each stamp and converted to a brush. It's quite a tedious process, but with the script, it's much faster. You still gotta have a copy of PS. I downloaded a trial version and used it for 30 days to create my stamps. My trial version has since expired, but I still have a bunch of stamps to convert. Maybe one day I'll get to them.

I was contacted by Seraphic Slyph at deviantart.com. She made some GIMP brushes and asked if I would help spread the word. So, I've added her first 4 original brush sets to the list and will add more as she provides. You know the drill, if you download/use, make sure you stop by and tell her how much you appreciate her efforts.

Also, she was given permission to convert some PS brushes that were created by another author. I'll be posting the links soon.

Am in the process of converting more stamps, but no promises on the timeframe.

Enjoy!

Alright...I went ahead and added the links to the PS brushes that Seraphic Slyph converted. These can be found at The Magic Box website. Please send a note to the original author and Seraphic Slyph, thanking them.

When you get to the site, click on the GIMP button below the brush preview to download. As a side note, all of the other brush sets have a GIMP button in the same location under the preview. Currently, the only GIMP brushes that are available are the ones I've listed.

Well, I got a wild hair today and decided to get 3 new brush sets up on DA. 2 are from master brush maker Destiny952 and I've added new brush author FloppyEarStudios. Make sure if you download/use you give them props.

Enjoy!
