what do u mean? it looks the same...

GIMPshop is a form of GIMP that is based on Photoshop's interface. If you're using that version, you'll either need to find out what keystrokes are used for invert/delete and use those or modify them as I suggested above.

When you said, deselect your image and make the upper layer something, I can't remember, do you mean set the opacity of the layer to lighter to make it fit in?
