Another way to make a brush but alot like noclayto:s way.

[*]Create an image with White background, size doesn't matter (i choose 250x250).
[*]Select "Rect Select" Tool and select some random boxes and fill them black (you don't have to make a new layer)

[*]Now you go Filters->Disorts->Polar Cords, and set the settings as below.

[*]Go to Image->Mode->Grayscale
[*]Save as something.gbr under your brushes folder.
[*]Reload brushes or restart Gimp and there you go.

The way I made my brushes that are similar to yours, was to pixelize( 20X20) the row stretched image and then do a Polar Coords.
