I don't like it. The outcome looks messy, and actually, far from a sunset. Also, try to use proper english and capitalization in your tutorials.

...
Sorry if I'm being to hard :o:

its more like a sunrise than a sunset. You should do a gradient over the solid noise and set the supernova layer on overlay or maybe even multiply...nice try on the tut though :)

Open up any image in GIMP. On the toolbar - in the image window - click 'Dialogues'. Scroll down to 'Tool Options'. It's the second one down, so it shouldn't be hard to find. Once this is open, use the text tool. After writing your text - with the text tool still selected - click 'Antialiasing', which is above colour. This will help for ALL of your work that includes text. If it's already selected, don't touch it.

Secondly, tutorials are designed for people who want to learn something specific, something that whoever wrote the tutorial has in-depth knowledge of. For this reason, most tutorials - with the obvious exceptions of borders, scanlines etc - have been almost perfected before posting.

Similarly, the tutorial should be aesthetically pleasing, and fit a colour scheme which is proverbial eye-candy. Make sure that everything is in line, and that images have either a border or a slight drop shadow. Also, when cutting out boxes - like the Supernova - make sure to zoom in and get rid of the background completely. Cut things out with the rectangular selection, too, because there are areas where you've gone too far with the eraser, and where you've missed parts.

Last, but certainly not least, make sure you use proper English; tutorials are supposed to be as easy to follow as possible.

i didn't like the outcome in the tutorial, so i added a radial "Incandescent" gradient to it.
