mmm cdub maybe if you close all and only run Gimp maybe it could work...i mean i'm working ona dell (Home PC) with iGb of RAM and i get truobñes(a lot)

Hii Photomaster I was giving your Cube tutorial a try and everything was going good till step #44 I dont think I have an script-Fu or the thing you sayd to do in step 44 I was so close but that mess it up cause the last steps involved the Scrift Fu thingy..Do you know where I can downloaded or where I can find it in my gimp?Thanx! =D Im new with Gimp I have had it for like les than a week lol

that was the position in gimp 2.2

In the latest gimp (2.4) look in Filter/Light and shadow/Drop Shadow

davidcon if you scroll up and down on your cube, it looks as if the pattern in the bg is moving.

sorry i see only now your question, well sure you can do something similar with sphere...
just try to map to a sphere instead then to a cube, is another of the option of that tool

Loved this tut! I am just finishing mine up now and will post my results. My machine is a little slow at the moment.... I really enjoyed this one and the instructions were so easy and smooth! Thanks for sharing!! I am always looking for new and unique tuts!!!

For whatever reason, I don't see my rule of thirds script on the link I provided. Here is my rule of thirds script. I runs on Gimp 2.0 through Gimp 2.4.4

Great Tutorial! Really easy to follow. I used it to make an image for a neopets help and graphic site i work on. They LOVE it.
