Well, this is great, you brought all together.

We will be having a separate page for scripts soon, which will be very good for beginners to find an go direct to scritps instead of searching for posted topics.

thanks again

regards

PLease try using the search button befor posting questions as chances it has been answered before posting the question.

The above question has been asked and answered at least once

http://www.gimptalk.com/topic.php?a=v&t=125&f=9

download the .scm file and place it in the scripts folder of GIMP for my computer this is

C:\\Program Files\\GIMP-2.0\\share\\gimp\\2.0\\scripts

then if you already have GIMP running close it and start it up agian and they should appear under the script-fu menu

Thanks so much for the brush script! You just don't realize how much it's sped up the process of converting the PS brushes. Very helpful!

Thanks again.

Thanks im'glad you found it usefull

I'd like to give thanks to droz who was the one who came to me wth the inspiration behind the script

For anybody wondering what the brush script does, it allows you to select part of a image which is then made greyscale, flattened and then saved in a location as a of your choice as a .gbr file
if no selection is made then the entire image is converted the file you originally started with is left untouched incase you want to make any changes to it.

Its great to hear from people who have used any of my scripts and found them usefull. I am not taking the credit for coming up with any of the ideas as they are all copied from others tutorials.

Be that as it may, you did take the time/effort to write the script which means a lot!

I could only get the blend and zoom ones to work. I always get an error. Were these originally intended for 2.2.8 and not changed?

Select all the text, copy it and open a note pad and past the text, next save as NAME.scm and move it to your script folder.

For more info look HERE. :w:

Hope this helps,

Hil,
new to the forums, although I have gone around them a lot. got an interesting situation on your glossy-text script. I get the following error when I refresh my script-fu scripts. fyi I'm using Gimp 2.2.8 on Linux.

Quote:
Error while executing
(load "/home/xxxxxx/.gimp-2.2/scripts/glossytext.scm")
ERROR: unbound variable (errobj my-image-to-layer-size)

any idea on what might be causing it?

hmm,. that was odd.
I re-downloaded it and now it works without any errors. the funny thing is I copy and pasted it the same way last time. I'm wondering if I might have gotten a bad d/l last time.

Thanks for the response.

glad you got it to work

I think when you copied it last time you missed the top 3/4 lines as they are the lines that define my-image-to-layer-size
