Hey everyone. With the premiere of the new Indy movie looming on the horizon, I'd like to learn how to do the text style they use for Indiana Jones, or even Jurassic Park.

Both actually. I have been able to find something similar in photoshop tuts, but of course the fonts are different, and the gradients arent the same. The closest thing I've been able to do is this:

I did that using the comic option with the logo/scriptfu menu, and a reverse smooth german flag gradient, which works for the fill, a bit, but not for the bendy text with the flares on the letters. Thanks for replying, btw.

for teh bendy text use either teh perspective tool or teh shear tool. If you want it to be curved use Iwarp.

for teh gradient filling just do Transparency -> Alpha To Selection on teh text layer. New layer and drag teh gradient across. Now hide teh original text layer and voila!
