Random is a GIMP Script that simulates clicking a brush at random locations a specified number of times.

Sample images, documentation and download link are at....

Feedback on the code is welcome!

Nicely done! I look forward to seeing your other scripts.

Nively done!

The only thing that I would add is maybe an option to select the paint tool (PaintBrush, AirBrush, etc.)

The paint tool doesn't have any effect because all I am doing is using the brush
to effectively click at a particular pixel.

Such an option would be a useful addition to a script that draws random lines
instead of random dots. Hey...I might write that filter next!

There is another difference between the pencil and paintbrushes -- pencils always have a "hard edge" (either black or white in the default color scheme) whereas paintbrushes, even if just clicked at a particular pixel, will allow "fuzzy edges".

Look in the PDB Browser for 'gimp-paintbrush-default' (or 'gimp-paintbrush' if you want to change a lot of settings).

Hi!

I found your script and modified it here:

Thanks for posting the original code!
