Hi, ^.0uTcAsT.^

In order for your animation work properly, you need to add a fog layer above each of the rain layers. You can do this a couple of ways. If you want to do it before merging each group of rain/background layers together, just add a fog layer above each rain layer then select the fog layer and merge it down with the rain layer and then merge the resulting layer down with the background layer. Do that for each grouping of fog/rain/background layers.

If your animation is already finished and you want to do it, just add a fog layer above each layer (your layers will look like this.....I've just given them arbitrary layer names) Doing it in this fashion *may* require you to convert your image to RGB mode first. Image Menu > Mode > RGB.

fog
layer 3
fog
layer 2
fog
layer 1

Then merge down each fog layer with the layer below it.

Does this help?

Okay I can do it on it's own, but I wanted to make this picture have rain and have Fence's Highlighted Text, where it lights up. http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/topic/New-And-Improved-Animated-Highlight-5899-1.html - That's the link where I learnt that from and both of them work fine when they aren't together but then I get like a jump, where the rain skips sort of thing. I'm not good at explaining and I'm not sure if I could get a picture of it, so I seriously hope some-one can help me, since I would like rain on this banner like that yet it won't work along with the highlighted flashing word I have. Please help me out! wAfFl3oOkIeZ (I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!)

If you can post the animation that's acting up, I believe we can figure out what the problem is and give you some good suggestions for correcting it.

Okay well, I think I figured it out it's not as jumpy now, I'll try... and post the banner now, I'm still trying to get used to this forum set-up (since it's different from what I'm used to). It's better then it was, but it's still not great. I want the rain to come down with the flashing lights going across at the same time, any suggestions? I can get a screen shot of how I've placed out my layers if that would help. I think I'm using either 2.0 or the 2.4.1 I'm not really sure, haven't paid attention though it does say... 2.0 on opening. I'll check later. So, uh... help, Thanks in advance: wAfFl3oOkIeZ

Hello all. Just started using Gimp and I think I'm addicted.
I was wondering in my rain image, why is there a small blip of darkness and how could this be corrected.

Thanks and this is so fun!

P.S.
How would one make the drops a little smaller?

Thanks again.
