Hi!

Has anyone of you had luck using the Alien Skin Image Doctor v2 plugin? This plugin is intended for Photoshop. I managed to install it on GIMP, but when I try to use it, it keeps telling "This filters requires a selection". I have tried selecting parts of the image, but I do not know if I am not doing it correctly, or if the plugin is mulfunctioning.

And if I cannot use this plugin with GIMP, which one would you recommend for skin retouching purposes?

Thanks!

Id say it probably doesn't work on gimp.
I've found that most of the higher functions like that wont transfer well, but you could check to see if the image has an alpha channel, and if it doesn't work with and alpha channel try it with out one.
Still your best bet is to learn how to do it yourself, try googleing alien skin tutorial.
I'd bet theres plenty out there, even if it is a ps tut.
You can always ask for a conversion here.

Alien Skin Image Docktor support only Adobe sw (and PSP from Corel) no any other sw seems supported http://www.alienskin.com/imagedoctor/idoc_requirements.html

So only PS element or a trial version of PSP may be used as host, but often PS Element is offered for free (ie when you buy a drawing tablet, scanners and alike ).

about emulating Image doctor has several different features, for some greycstoration may be used to get similar results
