This is quite long and you will need to be patient with it. I used image tuts because you can save them and dont have to reload them again.

thanks. well i should have said it is a bit too advanced for newbs. plus my gimp version is 2.3.9 which is a bit different from most people here

the render doesnt look that good a quality but thats not your fault - maybe it needs sharpening a bit. well done. its nice. and you did the fading text :l:
