Round #013 is closed to entries!

Voting Thread

I'd like to remind everyone (I mentioned this a couple rounds back): If I haven't officially closed the round, go ahead and finish and/or post your entry. That way, if I forget to update this thread, like always, at least the time won't be wasted. ;)

I realize submissions are closed, but I was playing around today and thought I'd post the following "oddity" before I shake it up and start over.

(my optical mouse is broken so I had to make this using an old trackball mouse, ugh!)

That's pretty cool, saulgoode, great concept. I like that repeated effect of the screen in the screen in the screen...

Lol, that's a funny one, saulgoode. My first thought was actually not of a magnetic screen but of one of those old-day hand-held donkey kong games with simple lcd screens. The gameplay never really ended, but just went faster and faster all the time. Blip, beep, boop, blip ... ;)

Saulgoode, I think it is very good. I could only draw vertical and horizontal lines, anything else always turned into broken stairways! Great stuff!

Haha, Eugenio, good one. Cracked up laughing as soon as I saw it. Reminds me of those terrible quality (not to say your entry is terrible quality, of course) 60s movies, like 'The Attack of the Giant Bumblebee' or something. Great entry, quick too!

Thanks Eugenio! Now edited, added some overlayed white blurred streaks to the fire to make it look more like fire.

Hi all, recently i discover this competition. I asking myself if i have enough time to entry. To the admin. i don´t understand very well what is ok to use. Can we use filters? like blurring, gaussian and color correction? (all in Gimp) can i use my GPS complete suite? and gimp painter is allowed? let me know it and then i will start to paint something.

greets to all.

Yep, as long as you're working in GIMP (or any version of it), you're welcome to use any tool available to you. :)

I'll update the rules with that note.

Ok so here it´s my entry. hope you like it. It is about a mad scientifist( ¿??) who is trying to make a super-ultra-white cloth washer but there is an over charge into the circuits when Tessla "energy maker" start to work. There is only one way to stop the process ? The red lever ... too late? suddenly all is out of control !!!

a bit cartoony style to make.. ¿funny? Made for fun with TheGimpPAinter+GPS.

Wow! That is amazing, definitely got my vote.

I would enter, but I suck when starting from scratch. I need at least one or two resources, but maybe I'll work it out.

TheShock, that is great! You are truly a great painter. The composition, colours and concept are all great, nice job! :)

And yes, russian is not a common language.

TheShock, that is awesome, thanks for entering! I shall have to work hard to beat you.

Ok, here's my entry, a sort of pathetic tribute to Nausicaa (I must do a proper one sometime, as I get back in the swing of digital painting), using my newfound love, GIMP Painter. The mixbrush rules. 8)

The russian one was a spam. Deleted and banned. :)

Cool image there, Shock, I like the comic style of it. Noah has a good entry there too though, interesting type of airplane, is it a grille up front? ;)

Nah, that's supposed to be wind... XD

Man, the more I look at my picture, the more I dislike it. Guess it shows how out of practice I am.

Nice entry Noah! Great concept. I reckon would be even better if you put in a background of the sky whizzing past, and also showed a terrified look on the pilot's face, still fitting with the comical theme. So, you know, bulging eyes, wide mouth, etc.
