Team FTW!
Team FTW used to be one of the first, and top teams here at Gimptalk back in the day, housing some of the nicest and most skilled people that I have personally met here on this great site. As our members left and became inactive, the team slowly faded away and became nothing more to the newer members than a myth or a mere legend. My goal is to revive team FTW to its former glory by bringing back the name and the legacy that it left behind by starting from scratch and then just going from there. We had some great times on team FTW, and I hope we can recreate that.

Requirements:
Ok, so with the intro out of the way, we should probably start with some applications. The requirements won't be too hard to fulfill. I would like relatively active members on this team who post quite often, with decent GIMP or graphics experience. I realize that with practice, anyone can become good at using GIMP, so you don't have to be amazing to be accepted. I will personally make the decisions in regards to applications until I can find someone to help me out in this area (preferably someone who was a part of the original Team FTW). Basically, the more you contribute to the community as a whole, the more likely you are to be accepted.

For the time being, I would like to have about 2 admins in the group, 3 moderators, and 8-10 regular members.

RULES:
*Anyone caught deliberately ripping another artist's work will be banned from the team.
*All members must wear either the userbar or avatar of our team
*If you are inactive for one month, we will send you a PM. If we don't get a reply within a week, your spot on the team will be given up, however reapplication will be allowed.
*All members of the original team FTW are allowed to join the team without posting an application.
*new! During GFX battles or competitions that require a certain number of people, the team may be split up into squads or small factions headed by the mods and admins. Hopefully this rule will allow our members to get to know each other better, and also increase productivity. This system does not enforce inter team competition, it simply allows the team to become more tightly knit together. Remember, Team FTW is one entity. This idea is more or less an efficient way make sure that no one is left out.
*This is probably the most unique rule that separates us from the rest, so get ready for it XD
All members of team FTW are equal, and therefore have an equal say in all matters. This means that on some occasions members may be asked to vote on a proposition or issue. The majority of the vote will decide the final decision. If any members have an amazing idea or something along those lines that they believe could truly make the team better, they can PM an Admin or Mod of the group letting them now about this idea, in which case the team will probably have a vote to decide if the idea should be implemented. This system can pertain to just about anything that relates to the group from promoting or demoting moderators, to participating in team wide competitions. The only thing members should not vote for or propose is to elect or demote an admin (this will be done among the two existing admins and moderators) A single member should not send in more than 1-2 ideas per month as it could become overwhelming to constantly change major details of the group.

Nice job! Took you guys long enough. Since BSE is ending in a few weeks, teams can now get back into activity. One thing I noticed that was weird though was your classing. No semi-pro?

Thanks for the good wishes. I just hope I'm not too late with this. Many people have teams already, and I have yet to see an application .

Class: I dunno, mod or something?
Activity: I usually check this site about once every day; its tabbed so I usually click it to check what's new and stuff whenever I use the internet. although my post count isn't nearly as promising as those who have joined even later than me, I try to keep most of my posts helpful, rather than general and random. you could call me somewhat a half-lurker, I guess.
Contributions: I was planning on releasing a bunch of tutorials in the future (kinda close to my 1st-year-of-GIMP anniversary), but as of now, I have yet to release anything. I do plan on doing so, as I always have fun making tutorials.
Reason for Joining: I'd like to join because I think this is a pretty cool team; it's just yet to reach it's burst of activity. Lots of people are on teams now, and I'd like to join one that isn't overcrowded with members or receiving multiple applications each week. plus, the name is win, and I think the legend of Team FTW deserves to live on.

Judgement, you honestly seem like the kind of person that I would like to have on this team! You have great work, you are intelligent and seem like you enjoy contributing to the community. My only concern is your activity. I have an idea, I think I will hold off on accepting or neglecting this application because I am impressed for the most part ; I will wait a few days and see if you are active. Don't feel any pressure though, just visit the site like you regularly would if you were a part of team ftw. If in a few days, I see relatively increased activity that I think will be sufficient, I will add you to the roster. Good luck, I really hope it goes well since I would like to have you on the team.

Activity: Often lurking, often on. (Most on the signature board would attest to the fact that I'm active) Basically whenever I'm on the computer, I check everything out, make sure it hasn't all gone to hell without me :3.

Contributions: Oh, you know, I'm always around C&Cing and doing what I can to help people out.

Reason for Joining: I've been kicking around the idea of joining a team for quite a while, so this just seemed like a great opportunity. I'm a busy fellow, but I've been committed to graphics for years now - this forum for several years - and I'd love to provide my insight and help people improve themselves. Plus, been a long time since I did any battlin', might be fun.

Welcome aboard Zoidberg, you posted some nice work, and you seem like you're the type of person who is committed to improving. Your activity has been pretty decent recently. I would like to see that extra bit of effort to post maybe once or twice more per day just to ensure activity. But yeah, you're accepted, thank you for applying, you seem like a great member! We probably won't do a whole lot until we get another member or two and the team starts filling up, so in a few days we should get down to business

Saviour: Haha wow April Fools is so great, this is the second time I got rick rolled today. Thankfully this time it wasn't the version that you couldn't close as it kept jumping around the screen until you did a force quit.

Edit: I just added a new rule which will hopefully make the team experience a fun experience. It can be found in the first post.

@Saviour: I don't believe you can Rick Roll someone if you're telling them what it is, as that leads to people not clicking the link (Because they know what it is), so they technically weren't Rick Roll'd. xD

I enjoy the fact that I have yet to be Rick Roll'd, haha. Though I did find a particularly clever one on YouTube, which was done by syncing LittleBigPlanet to the song. (I believe it was called Sack Rolled, or something to that effect). Not only funny and original, but adorable!

Not really sure. Generally on forums, I'll only click links after hovering of the link to see where it leads. I also factor in what other posters and the like have commented, because you can usually find if a link is worth clicking or not by the first few responses. The latter is the general basis I use when deciding whether or not to click YouTube videos.

I think the only reason no one I know hasn't done it to me yet is because most of the people that would be sending me a link to a video, I have the wherewithal to ask them what it is first, haha. Or maybe they just haven't tried to do it to me because I'm usually more "intrawebz savvy" + know of the fad.
