wow afew double post-its there, heres what I came up with definately a good tut and if you want it to look more realistic definitely use perspective and sheer transforms.

I messed around with similar techniques a long time ago and here's just one I created using it like I think 6 months or so ago...

Umm i couldn't get it it just has the text i put on top and fliped underneath but how do i get the reflection if you could get the steps more clear to what im needing that would help me much it's so confusing for me (im farly new to GIMP only had for 3 days)

how do you set foreground color to transparent?

Perhaps a little confusion arising from the choice of words in the original sentence?

What is meant is that the you should choose the gradient that is named "FG to transparent".

yeah not to sound stupid or anything, but how the heck do i get the reflection thing to work. im new at this, and i cant figure it out.

do i just merge the layers down? or something like that?

I`m really confused here...besides adding a layer mask, you`re supposed to add a new layer too? And after I duplicate the logo and flip the lower layer nothing happens. Help! :a:

Is your logo on a transparent background like in the tutorial?

No..I was starting fresh with text on a white background. Ooops :blushing: That was the problem...very cool effect!
