Hello Friends!!

Today we will create an Autumn manipulation sig.

EXAMPLE:



First, you need to select a suitable picture. Now, you can use any render, but i believe that this tut would be better for nature scenes.

I chose this stock.



Now, take out your rectangular regions tool (hotkey r) and select a suitable region for the manip.

I chose this region.




Now, copy your selected region (hotkey crtl-c) and open up a new document.

Paste your selected region into the new document. If your region is too large, resize it to your liking.





Now we start getting down to buisness.

Go to Edit-> copy visible, edit -> paste. That will create 2 layers.





Go to Filter->Blur-> Gaussian Blur. Select a setting of 2-3.




Go to Filter-> Noise-> Pick. Select 50% randomiztion, 35 repeat.




Go to your layers dialog (hotkey Crtl-L) and set a blending mode and an opacity of whatever looks good to you. ( I say this because I was experimenting, and around half the blending modes looked real good).

I chose Lighten only at 65%.





Anchor your layer using the Layers dialog,and then repeat edit-> copy visible, edit-> paste.

Go to Filter->Blur-> Motion Blur. Use these settings.





Now, set the blurred layer to dodge at 50% opacity.





ALMOST DONE!!!!!

Now, this part is kinda up to you.


Look at your sig closely, and decide what two colors would complement your color scheme.


Set one of the colors to the background color, and set one to the foreground color.

I chose green as foreground, brown as background, and set the mapped layer to overlay at 85%.



NOTE: If the mapped sig looks sucky, delete the old layer,switch the colors around, and redo the gradient map.



YOU'RE DONE!!!!!! w00t!!!!!

OPTIONAL: Now it is time to add text, border, etc.

I used 20 point Asenine font.

Same, i used google, but when you do, find the coolest stock you can find.

This tut is awesome here's what I got.

I like the outcomes but Flamed, i don't see much diference between your result and the current.

GREAT tutorial, Sky! Love my results. Had to lower the Dodge layer down to 30 Opacity, though...
